Matthew 11:25-30

Date posted: November 2, 2019

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Matthew 11:25-30
“Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads and I will give you rest. Take my yoke and put it on you, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit; and you will find rest. For the yoke I will give you is easy, and the load I will put on you is light.”

Reflection
Our gospel today talks about God’s reward to those who are humble enough to acknowledge weaknesses and failures. We need to be humble and accept that we are all sinners who need God our Savior. When was the last time you repented?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
As stated in the Lasallian Guiding Principles, “..the spirit of faith is a spirit that allows one to search for God’s will in order to carry out His saving plan.” It is God’s will that we keep our faith alive. St. John Baptist De La Salle, throughout his journey of building schools for the poor, trusted the Lord that everything he did was God’s work and so God will provide.

One Life Prayer
Holy Spirit
You love us and offer us the gift of association.
You call us to live with joy
You invite us to be people with a creative inner life
Lord, grant us your strength for a life full of meaning
Fill us with your grace so that we will live the values of the gospel.
Our inner life will grow
And that we will be credible witnesses
Together with the entire Lasallian Family
In the midst of our world.
We make this prayer through the intercession of Mary
Queen and Mother of the Christian Schools, and through
The intercession of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, patron of teachers. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us.
St. John Baptist de La salle, pray for us.
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
