Matthew 13:28-43

Date posted: July 19, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Matthew 13:28-43
“The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’ “‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time, I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’”

Reflection
The gospel speaks about the goodness of God. We are the seeds planted in the field and the sower is God.
We are all planted in a good soil, but as we go along in our lives, we experience struggles and difficulties
that hinder us to grow. However, we are reminded that God as our sower is always there for us. He watches us and take good care of us to reach the fullness of our lives. How do we experience the guiding presence of God in our life?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that,” Lasallian educational experiences are dynamic processes that impel learners to translate their knowledge into actual practice for the betterment of society.” As Lasallians who were equipped by the Lasallian core values, we are challenged by God to help one another, especially the poor to grow in holiness and let them also feel that God also wants them to bear good fruits and become a blessing to others.

Oratio Imperata Against the COVID-19
God our Father, we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked
to find cure for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted, may they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us!
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us!
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us!
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
