Matthew 13:36-39
And his disciples came to him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds of the field.” He answered,
“He who sows the good seed is the Son of man; the field is the world, and the good seed means the sons
of the kingdom; the weeds are the sons of the evil one, and the enemy who sowed them is the devil; the
harvest is the close of the age, and the reapers are angels.
Reflection
The gospel talks about patience. The value of patience should be realized by everyone, you must be calm,
kind, humble and honest. Avoid nasty words. Just like our founder St. La Salle, he was a man of kind words
and meditated on God’s will for him. Patience is a virtue and also a path towards happiness. How do I
practice the virtue of patience in my life especially in this new normal?
Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “Lasallian learners are unique and gifted individuals who strive to integrate Gospel
perspectives and values in the conduct of their daily lives.” In relation to the gospel, everyone is inspired by
Lasallian core values to become unique and gifted individuals. We are following the good works of our
Founder. As Lasallians, let’s be more patient.
Oratio Imperata Against the COVID-19
God our Father, we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked
to find cure for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted, may they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
