Matthew 18:12-14

Date posted: December 10, 2019

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Matthew 18:12-14
“What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.

Reflection
The gospel is all about God who loves all of His little ones and gives His beloved Son for the salvation of all. He doesn’t want any of them to perish, to be lost, or even to be in danger. Jesus searches for us. He never gives up looking and longing for us! Am I longing for the coming of Jesus? How do I prepare myself before accepting Jesus this advent season?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
As stated in the LGP, “communion in mission as a way of relating to others suggests openness to all persons and the desire to be brother or sister to all especially those in need.” St. John Baptist de La Salle was the chosen servant of God in order to spread the principles that needed to be focused on. St. La Salle was devoted into teaching that is why he is known as “The Patron Saint of Teachers”. He touched the hearts of the students and inspired them with the Christian Spirit.

One Life Prayer
Holy Spirit
You love us and offer us the gift of association.
You call us to live with joy
You invite us to be people with a creative inner life
Lord, grant us your strength for a life full of meaning
Fill us with your grace so that we will live the values of the gospel.
Our inner life will grow
And that we will be credible witnesses
Together with the entire Lasallian Family
In the midst of our world.
We make this prayer through the intercession of Mary
Queen and Mother of the Christian Schools, and through
The intercession of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, patron of teachers. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us.
St. John Baptist de La salle, pray for us.
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
