Matthew 18:21-22

Date posted: September 13, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Matthew 18:21-22
Peter approached Jesus and asked him, “Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive
him? As many as seven times?” Jesus answered, “I say to you, not seven times but seventy-seven
times.”

Reflection
Sometimes, it is hard for us to forgive someone, especially if that person really broke our heart. But
today, Jesus is telling us to forgive others, not only for several times but always. It may sound absurd,
but if we look deeper, we will realize that God is just preparing our hearts to experience love and to
be loved again. How often do you forgive others?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
As stated in the LGP, the spirit of faith allows one to discover God’s active presence in His Word, in
men and women, in the poor, in nature, in history, and in ourselves. As Lasallians, we are challenged
to reflect on how God works in our lives and be able to realize how blessed we are to have a God
who loves us unconditionally. Let us be agents of God’s abiding love and presence to all especially
to the lost, the last and the least.

Oratio Imperata Against the COVID-19
God our Father, we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked
to find cure for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted, may they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us!
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us!
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us!
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
