Matthew 21:31-32

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Matthew 21:31-32
Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom
of God ahead of you. For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did
not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you
did not repent and believe him.

Reflection
Those people who have the courage to change and choose to follow the will of the Father will be
welcomed in the Kingdom of heaven. This gospel reminds us that in spite of the sins we have done,
we have a God who is willing to accept us wholeheartedly. Do you take time to think about your
relationship with God? How is it?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
As stated in the LGP, the “spirit of faith allows one to discover God’s active presence in his Word, in
men and women, in the poor, in nature, in history, and in ourselves.” Faith isn’t just a notion that
some people hold onto in tough times. As Lasallians, we must embody the spirit of faith because it
will help us to get through, illuminating the pathway in times of darkness, helping us to get through
every form of weakness. For without faith, we are nothing.

Oratio Imperata Against the COVID-19
God our Father, we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked
to find cure for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted, may they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
