Matthew 6:7-8

Date posted: June 18, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Matthew 6:7-8
Jesus said to his disciples: “In praying, do not babble like the pagans, who think that they will be heard
because of their many words. Do not be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”

Reflection
God knows all our needs and desires of our hearts. Jesus taught us the Lord’s prayer that involves the
sincerity and honesty of our prayer to our words and actions as well as, the willingness to do God’s will. We are offering our lives in loving submission to God. We listen to what God has to say, and not just ask for petitions. At this time in your life, what words from the Lord’s Prayer are most meaningful to you and how will you use these words to live life with integrity?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “Actions must always be life-affirming.” One of this institution’s resources is the human
resource. As Lasallians and future health care professionals, we enhance and nurture the lives of others
with candor and inclination to do good without expecting anything in return. These acts of good deeds give order and purpose to our existence as true Lasallian community.

Oratio Imperata Against the COVID-19
God our Father, we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked
to find cure for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted, may they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us!
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us!
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us!
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
