Laboratory Medicine


The DLSUMC Department of Laboratory Medicine is concerned with tests done on clinical specimens in order to obtain information on the health of a patient.  The department combines anatomic and chemical pathology and performs routine and special procedures in hematology, serology and immunology, clinical chemistry, microscopy, microbiology, blood transfusion, surgical pathology and cytology.

The department has four (4) consultants and eight (8) residents at present. Its four-year residency training program is governed by the Philippine Society of Pathology.
