Pediatrics



The Department of Pediatrics is one of the pioneering units of the DLSUMC since its inception in 1984. Today, the department is a dynamic, efficient and stable organization committed to improving pediatric health care, providing competent teaching, and conducting and using relevant and valid research.

DLSUMC is recognized as a Level III training hospital by the Hospital Accreditation Board of the Philippine Pediatric Society.  The Department of Pediatrics has an outstanding roster of 47 pediatricians. All consultants are board-certified members of the Philippine Pediatric Society, while subspecialty consultants are acknowledged and certified by their respective societies. The department has also started the Fellowship Program on Behavioral and Developmental Pediatrics in January 2016. Its residency training program currently has 21 trainees.
