Dr. Romeo Ariniego AFSC’s art collection was on display during the Siyete KaRA x HeARTbeats exhibit which coincided with the soft opening of the Romeo P. Ariniego, MD AFSC Gallery on March 5 located on the 6th floor of DLSMHSI’s library which bears his name.

“Romy, this is your library, and on the 6th floor of the building will be your collections but you will be part of the committee to select what we will show here. It is yours and you will be the only one who will decide what you want to see here and this will be here in perpetuity,” said DLSMHSI President Br. Gus Boquer FSC in his message to Dr. RA.

As Br. Gus said, the gallery will be the permanent home of Dr. Ariniego’s art collection which he has gifted to DLSMHSI. To showcase the depth of his collections, the Library also mounted the HEARTBEATS exhibit which was originally displayed by DLSU-D’s Museo De La Salle. The exhibit features Dr. RA’s visual arts collection by various Filipino artists. The artworks on display are testaments to the generosity and compassion of Dr. RA, as well as his penchant for beauty. Some of these works are gifts from patients and their relatives who want to express their gratitude to Dr. RA for the compassionate care that he has in abundance for his patients, while others were acquired to support budding artists.

Meanwhile, the Library staff also mounted the Siyete KaRA exhibit which highlights the seven different faces of Dr. RA as a beloved Lasallian who has touched the lives, hearts, and minds of many people.
