Week 12:
FSC plus medical and dental mission

On April 28, the 12th week of Project FSC (Food Service for the Community), the service went beyond food as the sponsoring group also provided free dental (tooth extraction) and medical services to the beneficiaries.

For this week, on top of the 80 kids that are the usual beneficiaries of the feeding program, the free dental and medical services were also extended to other kids in the community. Thus, a total of 91 children were served.

The feeding and free medical and dental services for this week were sponsored by Arch .Juanito and Haydee Sy and the La Immaculada Concepcion Chapter #33, Order of the Eastern Star. The free medicines and vitamins provided to
the beneficiaries were sponsored by DLSMHSI’s Signum Fidei (SF) Faith Community. Volunteers from DLSMHSI’s Institutional Communications Office, LFSA, DLSMHSI-SF and LASSO were also around to help in the mission.

FSC Week 13:
Food, school, and hygiene

Now on its week 13, Project FSC was sponsored by the faculty and staff of DLSMHSI’s College of Medical Imaging and Therapy.

On top of the feeding program, the beneficiaries also received school supplies and hygiene kits, and were treated to interactive games that were facilitated by the CMIT volunteers as part of the College’s community outreach
program.

Project FSC is a weekly feeding program spearheaded by the DLSMHSI Lasallian Formation and Social Action (LFSA) Office, in partnership with Ang Parokya ng Mabuting Pastol’s Parish Pastoral Council and serves 80 kids from Blessed Ville Subdivision and Greensite Subdivision in Sampaloc 2, Dasmarinas City Cavite. To ensure sustainability, the feeding is done weekly for a duration of one year, with regular monitoring of the children’s nutrition and health status. The food served is also prepared by the members of the Parish Pastoral Council to ensure maximum nutritional benefits.
