In the bustling heart of DLSMHSI, a spirited celebration recently unfolded through the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Lasallian Mission and Linkages. The weeklong Lasallian Mission Celebration (LMC) commenced with a special mass to honor the enduring spirit of St. Miguel Febres Cordero and the venerable Our Lady of Lourdes.
From the solemnity of mass to the launch of the newest school pride, the Green Sentinels Mascot, during the opening ceremony of the Animo Games, it was a kaleidoscope of activities that entertained and enriched the DLSMHSI community.
Enriching Engagement
Amidst the excitement of the festivities, the celebration offered a diverse array of seminars and competitions. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in seminars like the Administrators’ Lasallian Leadership Formation Program, Vital Formation Program Orientation, and the Volunteers Forum: #TaraMaglingkodTayo. Additionally, competitions such as the Bible and Lasallian Quiz Bee, Dance, and Battle of the Bands provided opportunities for engagement and friendly competition.
These events went beyond entertainment – they served as platforms for intellectual growth and spiritual reflection. Participants engaged in thought-provoking discussions, fostering a culture of lifelong learning and inquiry. Moreover, the Lasallian Brothers graciously opened the doors of Residencia De La Salle, offering a glimpse into their lives and further enriching the experience of the celebration.
Culinary Delights
The Green Square transformed into a gastronomic paradise, adorned with many food stalls offering delectable treats from across the culinary spectrum. From savory delights to sweet indulgences, there was something to tantalize every palate, fostering camaraderie and festivities.
Honoring Loyalty and Excellence
Another significant event, the Annual Employee Recognition ceremony, is a special occasion where the dedication and contributions of the hardworking individuals who form the Institution’s backbone are acknowledged. From faculty members to administrative staff, the ceremony honored their tireless efforts in advancing the Institution’s mission and vision.
Historic Milestone
Adding to the festivity was the inaugural Grand Alumni Homecoming, marking a historic milestone in DLSMHSI. Alumni from far and wide converged on the campus, rekindling old friendships and forging new bonds. It was a joyous occasion marked by nostalgia and camaraderie, as former students reminisced about their shared experiences and celebrated the enduring legacy of their alma mater.
The Lasallian Mission Celebration transcended the confines of mere festivity; it was a testament to the legacy of St. John Baptist de La Salle and the boundless potential of the Lasallian spirit. It celebrated tradition and innovation, unity and diversity, and the unwavering commitment to the Lasallian mission.
