VCA chosen as assessor for AUN/QA

Dr. Juanito O. Cabanias, vice chancellor for Academics has been chosen as an Assessor of the ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN-QA).

 

As an assessor, he will be visiting academic institutions who will be pursuing AUN-QA accreditation for their programs and processes. Dr. Cabanias’ first assignment as Assessor will be to evaluate the Thai Nguyen University in Vietnam through a remote or virtual visit on March 1-5, 2021. He will be the assessor for the Medical Doctor program.

 

The AUN-QA is a network of universities and schools from the ASEAN which upholds quality in higher education. It aims to emphasize the “need to develop a holistic quality assurance system to raise academic standards and enhance education, research and service among its member universities. DLSMHSI is an associate member of the AUN-QA and is currently seeking accreditation as well.
