Philippines, De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute (DLSMHSI) continually promotes and maintains the quality and standards of education that demonstrate the LASALLIAN CHARACTER in terms of knowledge, values, and competencies. We are committed to developing graduates who are lifelong learners and who possess the abilities to become nurturers of life through diverse and meaningful experiences. As they transition to practice, they are equipped to meet the needs of society in the healthcare system.
The Center for Humanities and Social Sciences is at the frontline of DLSMHSI in upholding the Lasallian Mission of providing Human and Christian Education. Through its General Education courses offered across the undergraduate colleges, CHSS fosters genuine commitment to the integral development of students in all their uniqueness and diversity.
The Humanities are grounded on religious education, philosophy and ethics, languages and literature, arts, and physical education; while the Social Sciences focus on the disciplines of history, psychology, and the contemporary world. Our faculty members are consistently engaged in professional development and are adaptive to the changing times, implementing innovative teaching and learning methodologies, advancing knowledge acquisition and faithfully mindful of the rai·son dêtre of Lasallian Education in general and DLSMHSI in particular.
