John 5:31-47

Date posted: March 26, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

John 5:31-47
How can you believe, who receive glory from one another and do not seek the glory that comes from the
only God? Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; it is Moses who accuses you, on whom you
set your hope. If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote of me. But if you do not believe
his writings, how will you believe my words?”

Reflection
Today’s gospel emphasized how Jews have been searching in the wrong paths hoping to find the true
meaning of life. The gospel presents this idea that it is true that we indeed are looking for our own purpose
in life but we are being blinded and led to the wrong path. One must sustain their own faith and never lose
this faith especially in the most difficult situations in life. How do we keep our faith burning in tough times.

Lasallian Guiding Principle
The LGP states that, “Zeal for service is a whole-hearted giving of oneself to the service of others, in gratuity
and generosity, in creativity and fortitude, in compassion and commitment.” The gospel encourages us to
build strong faith in God, to aspire others, and revitalize people to believe in Him. SJBDLS life revolved in
changing the life of others despite any difficulties and strengthen the faith of the children and his brothers.

Oratio Imperata on the Threat of the COVID-19 (CBCP)
God our Father,
we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us
and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked to find cure
for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted. May they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them. Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
who lives and reigns with You,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us!
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us!

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
