Gospel: Luke 10, 1-9
Jesus Sends Out the Seventy-Two
After this the Lord appointed seventy-two[a] others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road. “When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ If someone who promotes peace is there, your peace will rest on them; if not, it will return to you. Stay there, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house. “When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is offered to you. Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’

Reflection
The Gospel tells us that we should be thankful for what we have and know what we deserve. We need to extend the widest range of help and spread the kindness and likeness of the Lord. This kindness does know how to complain nor does it show negative actions towards what is being given to you. We need to learn to treat everything as a blessing. How do you know that you have enough?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “…the spirit of faith is a spirit that allows one to trust in God’s loving presence and providence when acting God’s will.” It means to have faith. It also means trusting God’s will. God is present to those who are following and recognizing His will. Even though we are in a vey difficult moment in our life, we must learn how to trust, to trust that every pain will end. Everything will be in order.

Prayer
Lord, help us in our struggle to become Your good and holy children. May we deepen our relationship with you by participating in religious services. May we really live in You and You in us. Bless our oil lamps so that we may always be ready to welcome You in our life, in our families, in our communities and in this institution. This we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Lasallian Prayer for Peace
We pray to you, O Lord,
God of life and God of those who hope!
Listen to our prayer for the whole world:
For peace among all peoples,
For prosperity in all lands.
We pray to you that evil may be overcome
And that all wars may end.
We pray to You especially for the members
Of our Lasallian Family,
Who suffer from war, injustice and intolerance,
And for children and young people who are poor ad neglected.
We pray too, God, for peace in our lives;
In our towns, in our schools,
In our families and in our own hearts.
We pray for a peace that the world cannot give us.
We pray for a peace that will make us whole
And transform us into ambassadors of justice for Your sake.
Lord, give us Your peace! Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us.
St. John Baptist de la Salle, pray for us.
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
