Luke 21:29-33

Date posted: November 29, 2019

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Luke 21:29-33
And he told them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees; as soon as they come out in leaf, you see for yourselves and know that the summer is already near. So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near. Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away till all has taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.”

Reflection
The advent season reminds us to hope and believe that the fulfillment of God’s promise is near. We are going to lose everything eventually. But the love and generosity of God will remain in our life. Let us prepare ourselves and spread the Good News that Jesus will come. Do I reserve a place for Jesus in my heart? How do I prepare myself for the coming of Jesus?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
As stated in the LGP, “the spirit of faith is a spirit that allows one to unite one’s actions to the ongoing saving action of God in the world.” God wanted us to embrace our faith in Him. St. La Salle was able to showcase God’s love and presence through his teachings and doing good works to others. As Lasallian, we are commissioned to continue this mission and share the same principles as that of our founder, to help people discover their full potentials that will eventually lead them to holiness as a children of God.

One Life Prayer
Holy Spirit
You love us and offer us the gift of association.
You call us to live with joy
You invite us to be people with a creative inner life
Lord, grant us your strength for a life full of meaning
Fill us with your grace so that we will live the values of the gospel.
Our inner life will grow
And that we will be credible witnesses
Together with the entire Lasallian Family
In the midst of our world.
We make this prayer through the intercession of Mary
Queen and Mother of the Christian Schools, and through
The intercession of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, patron of teachers. Amen.

Our Lady of the Star, pray for us.
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us.
