Mark 3:7-12

Date posted: January 24, 2019

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Gospel: Mark 3:7-12
Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the lake, and a large crowd from Galilee followed. When they heard about all he was doing, many people came to him from Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea, and the regions across the Jordan and around Tyre and Sidon. Because of the crowd he told his disciples to have a small boat ready for him, to keep the people from crowding him. For he had healed many, so that those with diseases were pushing forward to touch him. Whenever the impure spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.” But he gave them strict orders not to tell others about him.”

Reflection
Jesus was healing and preaching few people and when the word was passed unto other countries, many came to Jesus for they want to be healed. Even Impure spirits shouted at him that he is the son of God. Many people recognize Jesus as the son of God only at times we need healing or enlightenment. A crowd of people praise and worship God but only few deepens their relationship with him. But the message is clear, even though Jesus needs rest he still continues to give time for us. Thus, we should always desire to deepen our relationship with God. Are we ready to give time to Him?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “…communion as a way of accomplishing mission suggests the solidarity and collaboration that come from sharing in one vision, one spirit and one mission.” Our founder St. John Baptist De La Salle devoted his time seeking God’s will for him. As its fruit, he made himself available to the poor children of France. As lasallians, we need to dedicate time to deepen our relationship with God for in Him we can see that our life will only be complete if we serve our needy brothers and sisters.

Prayer
Lord, we pray that anyone who seeks You will find You. Anyone who has problems and who has faith in You will find their answers. Those who are sick and will call Your name will be healed as they believe in You. Hear our hearts oh Lord and cleanse us with Your mercy. Heal our body and soul as we worship and believe that You are indeed the Son of God. This we pray, in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Our Lady of the Star, pray for us.
St. John Baptist De La Salle, pray for us.
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
