Matthew 10:6-8

Date posted: December 7, 2019

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Matthew 10:6-8
“Go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel and preach as you go, saying, “The Kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Heal the sick, raised the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying, give without pay.”

Reflection
God’s kingdom will overcome sorrow and bring true peace and prosperity to His people. Jesus understood his mission,
that is, to bring to us the kingdom of God in all its fullness. The Kingdom of God is imminent and this coming comes
with generous act of love for all of us. How can we experience the Kingdom of God at home, in our workplace, or in
our community?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
As stated in the LGP, “communion in mission as a way of relating to others suggests openness to all persons and the
desire to be brother or sister to all especially those in need.” Jesus called us to spread the love of God throughout the
world. St. La Salle was able to portray this generosity by extending his services to the poor even his personal
resources. As Lasallians, we are also challenged to generously help people who are greatly in need and use all our
learnings and talents in serving the community.

One Life Prayer
Holy Spirit
You love us and offer us the gift of association.
You call us to live with joy
You invite us to be people with a creative inner life
Lord, grant us your strength for a life full of meaning
Fill us with your grace so that we will live the values of the gospel.
Our inner life will grow
And that we will be credible witnesses
Together with the entire Lasallian Family
In the midst of our world.
We make this prayer through the intercession of Mary
Queen and Mother of the Christian Schools, and through
The intercession of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, patron of teachers. Amen.

Our Lady of the Star, pray for us.
St. John Baptist de La salle, pray for us.
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
