Date posted: November 30, 2018

Gospel: Matthew 4,18-22
As Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon who is called Peter, and his brother Andrew, casting a net into the sea; they were fishermen.
He said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
At once they left their nets and followed him.
He walked along from there and saw two other brothers, James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John.
They were in a boat, with their father Zebedee, mending their nets. He called them, and immediately they left their boat and their father and followed him.

Reflection
Jesus sacrificed his whole life to save us in all our sins he is always there and ready to lend his helping hands no matter what it is even though sometimes we become unfair to him. In this gospel there are 4 men who received a blessing from Jesus where Jesus saw the eagerness and determination to them just to catch a lot of fish for them to survive in life they followed Jesus without any hesitation because for them they trust all the words and works of Jesus. In real life, we must open ourselves and welcome Jesus in our life because in him all things are possible if we trust him. Jesus always give a lot of blessing for the people who truly believe in his works, obey him and have a strong faith to him and also if we follow the footsteps of Jesus we will find the real essence of life.

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “…the spirit of faith is a spirit that allows one to support and promote creative and holistic education.” Faith is the connecting power into the spiritual realm which links us with God. Having spirit of faith in yourself helps you to prepare to meet the challenges of living. It also helps to gain trust and build confidence. As Lasallian, spirit of faith helps us to overcome the fear of disappointments. It teaches us to have a deeper understanding with ourselves and a deeper relationship with God.

Prayer
Dear Lord, we don’t ask You to make our lives easier, but we come before You and ask for Your strength within us. You are our strength and our shield; help us to carry the responsibilities with grace, to lift each worry and burden to You, may You help us to defend the truth, justice, and righteousness in our practice, and guide us to every decisions and path that we will take, for it is only You who knows what is best for each and every one of us. Amen.

Our Lady of the Star, pray for us.
St. John Baptist de la Salle, pray for us.
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
