John 10:25-30

Date posted: May 5, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

John 10:25-30
Jesus answered them, "I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father's name, they
bear witness to me; but you do not believe, because you do not belong to my sheep. My sheep hear my
voice, and I know them, and they follow me; and I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, and
no one shall snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and
no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one."

Reflection
Jesus declares that He is the true light of the world (John 8:12). In His light, we can see who God truly is
and we can find the true path to heaven. Listen to the Good Shepherd and you will not go astray. How
secure is your faith and trust in God?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, Zeal is “a passionate commitment to realize God’s will which in Lasallian terms, is the
integral liberation and salvation of all, especially the youth and the poor.” The youth and the poor are the
focus of this zeal. We can’t say that, “I have done enough.” Commitment to integral liberation is a lifetime
process. Those who suffer the most in this pandemic are those belonging to the marginalized sectors of
society. The youth (students) who do not have wifi connections at home are left behind during lockdowns.
So, we will not stop this Lasallian Mission until everyone is liberated from all kinds of suffering.

Oratio Imperata Against the COVID-19
God our Father, we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked
to find cure for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted, may they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us!
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us!
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us!
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
