John 10:7-10

Date posted: May 3, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

John 10:7-10
So Jesus again said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before
me are thieves and robbers; but the sheep did not heed them. I am the door; if any one enters by me, he
will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I
came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

Reflection
What can a shepherd teach us about God and our relationship with him? Jesus calls us by name. There is
a profound relationship with Jesus, very intimate. He knows us more deeply than we know ourselves. He
is the good shepherd who loves his sheep. How can I deepen my relationship with Jesus?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, Zeal is… “a passionate commitment to realize God’s will…” There is this sense of
urgency in this particular value. As Lasallians, we are challenged to protect the people entrusted to us and
to know them deeply like a good shepherd to his sheep. This means to be more sensitive to their needs.

Oratio Imperata Against the COVID-19
God our Father, we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked
to find cure for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted, may they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us!
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us!
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us!
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
