John 14:5-6

Date posted: May 8, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

John 14:5-6
Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus
answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Reflection
Jesus is comforting and consoling his disciples, 'do not let your hearts be troubled!’ Who is consoling Him?
To the very end, He continues to trust in the power and love of God. If we are troubled, we must pray and
seek guidance from the Lord. How did you encounter God in the most difficult moment of your life?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, Zeal is “a passionate commitment to realize God’s will which, in Lasallian terms, is the
integral liberation and salvation of all, especially the youth and the poor.” St. John Baptist de La Salle
helped in educating children and youth because he knew in his heart that it was his mission to help the
poor and the needy. Everything went well because he believed and listened to the gospel message, “do
not let your hearts be troubled.” As Lasallians, may we serve as confidants to our fellow human beings just
like our founder to his brothers.

Oratio Imperata Against the COVID-19
God our Father, we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked
to find cure for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted, may they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us!
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us!
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us!
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
