DLSP holds Share to Learn Conference at DLSHSI

On October 13, members of De La Salle Philippine’s Joint Advancement and Scholarship Commission held a Share to Learn Conference at the De La Salle Villarosa Convention Hall and was attended by directors and officers of Advancement and Scholarship offices from La Salle schools in Luzon.

DLSHSI President Br. Gus Boquer encouraged the participants to look at what they do not merely as raising funds, and go beyond to “raising friends.”  “You are here today because you are responsible for something that is essential in the institution and you are expected to succeed so you must be committed to what you are doing. You must rely on the grace of God for the worthiness of what you are supporting and for the mobility and integrity to reach outside of an institution,” he said in his opening remarks.

One of the speakers during the conference was Mr. Martin Gaerlan of DLSP’s Quality Management and Audit Services who gave a briefing on protecting the pricavy of donors’ data in the spirit of trustworthy giving. He shared the importance of understanding the impact of data privacy on advancement policies and practices as these will promote innovation and growth.

Aside from data privacy, other topics discussed in the conference include sharing of the schools´experiences on the impact of K-12 on scholarship, DLSU-D´s Lasallian Giving Framework, updates on DLSP, and project SMILES.
