Dr. Romeo Ariniego is PHA’s Distinguished Fellow awardee for 2018

Dr. Romeo P. Ariniego, FPCP, FPCC is the recipient of the Distinguished Fellow Award 2018 from the Philippine Heart Association.
A former Vice President for Academics of DLSHSI and former Dean and one of the most admired faculty of the College of Medicine, Dr. Ariniego was conferred the award during the 49th Annual Convention of the Philippine Heart Association held on May 23, 2018 at the Isla Ballroom of the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel in Mandaluyong City.
This recent award from the PHA is just one of the numerous awards that decorate his successful career as a medical professor and a cardiologist. Dr. RA received the PHA’s Distinguished Service Award in 2007 and the Distinguished Teacher Award in 2013, the National Lorenzo M. Tañada CHIMES Award from De La Salle Philippines, and various international recognitions in his field of specialty. However, when he speaks, Dr. RA always says that there is no greater reward than seeing his former students succeed in their field. For years, he has been supporting medical students through scholarships and by opening his home and extensive library to medical students. He also supports the children of the staff at DLSHSI who want to study medicine through his Dr. Romeo P. Ariniego Scholarship Endowment Fund while at the same time financially supporting various scholarship programs, including the
One La Salle Scholarship Fund.
A true Lasallian indeed.
