Radiology wins back-to-back awards at Philippine College of Radiology Southern Luzon Chapter, Inc.

DLSUMC’s Department of Radiology team was named champion in two categories during
the 2018 Battle of the Brains Contest, Case Presentations, and Scientific Lectures of the Philippine College of Radiology Southern Luzon Chapter, Inc. held in Ginazel Hotel, Batangas City on September 22, 2018.

Radiology residents Rene Edward Samonte, MD, Vanessa Almaden, MD, Lia Anna Comia, MD, and
Anthea Marie Cornejo, MD were named champions for the third-time in the Battle of the Brains. The team was supported by their coach Dr. Joanne Suguitan-Garcia.

Also, Mary Grace D. Perez, MD was named champion in the Case Presentation Competition for her study titled “I Wünder Why? Herlyn-Werner- Wunderlich (OHVIRA) Syndrome: A Rare Case of Müllerian Duct Anomaly.”
