It also recorded a 75.18% passing rate for first time takers in the July 2016 Radiologic Technologist Licensure Exams.Congratulations to the board topnotchers, the new Lasallian physical therapists and radiologic technologists, the College of Rehabilitation Sciences, and the College of Medical Radiation Technology for a job well done!
Exit interview of Batch 2016 graduates posts positive evaluation of Academic services and operationsThe Alumni Services and Continuing Professional Education Office (ASCPEO) conducted an exit interview among Batch 2016 graduates. A total of 983 respondents from the College of Medicine, College of Medical Radiation Technology, College of Nursing, and College of Rehabilitation Sciences participated in the said exit interview.Results of the survey showed that majority of the respondents were either satisfied or extremely satisfied with the services and operations of the Academics Division. The offices under the Academics Division measured in the survey were Office of the Registrar, College Admissions Center, Office of Student Services Health and Safety Unit, Student Development and Activities Unit, Guidance and Counselling Services Unit, and Student Discipline and Security Unit.
Faculty research outputs and paper presentations abound In line with the goal of the Academics Division to become a research-intensive institution, faculty members actively engage in research and share their outputs through paper presentations and publications.Dean Alicia P. Catabay from the College of Pharmacy shall present her paper at the 11th International Conference on Researches in Science and Technology (ICRST) in Imperial College, London on September 21-22, 2016. She also published her study, co-authored with Ms. Angelica May Dela Cruz, “Hypolipidemic Effect of the Lyophilized Fruit Pulp of Annona muricata L. (Fam. Annonaceae) in Atherogenic diet-Induced Hyperlipidemia in Rats” in the Journal of the Asian Association of Schools of Pharmacy, Volume 5, No. 1, January-June, 2016, pp. 351-59.Prof. Romeo C. Ongpoy from the College of Pharmacy also shall present his paper “Levels of Preparedness of the Filipino Pharmacists as Providers for Immunizations for Adult Patients” during the 26th Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations (FAPA) Congress with the theme “Integrating Asian Pharmacy Wisdom in Global Health” on November 9-13, 2016 in Bangkok, Thailand.Dr. Dante G. Simbulan, Jr., Chair of the Department of Physiology of the College of Medicine, is this year’s recipient of Dean’s Award for Research.
Faculty members attend training and seminarsThe DLSHSI College of Nursing (CN) Simulation Team held a Lecture Seminar on Simulation at De La Salle Lipa College of Nursing on July 20, 2016. Faculty members of CN attended a Moodle Training on June 22 and July 5, 2016.Ms. Ma. Kristine Francesca Tortona from the College of Medical Laboratory Science (CMLS) attended the Biosafety Cabinet Certification Workshop held on July 25-26, 2016 at PSP Bldg., Manila.CMLS faculty members Mr. Joseph Ancla, Ms. Clarence Witty Mendoza, and Dean Fedelyn Estrella and CP faculty members Mr. Sigfredo Mata, Dean Alicia Catabay and Ms. Nida Alindogan participated in the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee Workshop Certification held on August 18-19, 2016 at University of the Philippines Manila. Mr. Richard Pineda from the College of Pharmacy also attended as the Chair of IACUC-DLSHSI.
