DLSMHSI keeps the lead as the Best RT School in the country

Thirty-two (32) BS Radiologic Technology alumni successfully passed the December 2021 Radiologic Technologist Licensure Examination with an overall passing rate of 84.21%, higher than the national passing rate of 36.10%. This outstanding performance put DLSMHSI as the Top 1 Performing RT School in the Philippines. Congratulations to the College of Medical Imaging and Therapy Administration, faculty, non-teaching personnel and new Lasallian Radiologic Technologists!


Academics holds curriculum review

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academics (OVCA) spearheaded the curriculum review of the Colleges and Departments in SY 2021-2022. This activity ensures that the Academics meets the curriculum requirements and provisions set by accrediting and regulatory bodies and complies with internal quality standards and practices. The different programs presented the following :
  • Current/existing curriculum
  • Subjects/courses taught by other departments and those by their departments
  • Implementation  (teaching-learning activities and ratio of faculty to students)
  • Decking of faculty members (bases for assigning the faculty to teach the subject)
  • Internship implementation (schedule, affiliation centers, etc.)
  • Second semester summary of plantilla

ManCom approves the establishment of Department of Emergency Medicine effective SY2022-2023

The DLSMHSI Management Committee in its January 20, 2022 meeting approved the establishment of the College of Medicine Department of Emergency Medicine, which is expected to be fully operationalized in SY 2022-2023. Following an outcomes-based design, the curriculum shall help the students to competently undertake the responsibilities expected of them in professional practice as general practitioners to (1) handle common urgent or critical cases arriving in the emergency department, (2) manage common diseases/disorders in patients across all ages and (3) demonstrate professionalism in the workplace. A 2-week rotation in the emergency department shall immerse the students into the following major areas: (1) triage area (2) resuscitation area, and (3) major clinical department areas.

Academics organizes seminar on basic financial management for profit and loss review, improvement of revenue and cost management
The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academics (OVCA), through the Center for Innovative Education and Technology Integration (CIETI), hosted a Financial Management Seminar entitled “Optimizing Mission Effectiveness through Holistic Resource Management” on January 27, 2022, 9:00am via Zoom. Dr. Benito L. Teehankee, Jose E. Cuisia Sr. Professor of Business Ethics, Management and Organization Department, De La Salle University, Manila, was invited as the resource speaker to help DLSMHSI Administrators, Academic Teaching and Service Faculty and Non-Teaching Personnel to gain essential management skills in efficiently managing the DLSMSHI resources.
